Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Clarke County Eagles (Berryville, VA) and the visiting Madison County Mountaineers (Madison, VA), observed Clarke County's volleyball team hold off Madison County by a count of 2-1.

The Eagles (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Central Woodstock (Woodstock, VA). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Central Woodstock got by Rappahannock County (Washington, VA), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Mountaineers battle the Page County Panthers (Shenandoah, VA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 22. Madison County will attempt to move on its 11-8 season record. The Panthers enter the contest with a 6-10 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Strasburg (Strasburg, VA).
