The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Brentwood War Eagles (Sandersville, GA) and the host Briarwood Academy Buccaneers (Warrenton, GA), observed Brentwood's softball team notch a victory over Briarwood Academy by a final score of 9-1.

The War Eagles (15-7) will now prepare for their bout against Trinity Christian (Dublin, GA). The Crusaders go into the non-league bout with a 11-7 record. In their last bout, Trinity Christian gained a win over First Preparatory Christian Academy (Hinesville, GA), 15-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Buccaneers battle the Southland Academy Raiders (Americus, GA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 17. Briarwood Academy will attempt to better on its 6-12 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 16-6 league win over Crisp Academy (Cordele, GA).
