The Lee's Summit West Titans (Lee's Summit, MO) softball nipped the host Carthage Tigers (Carthage, MO), 8-7 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Titans now sport a 23-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Neosho for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 19. Lee's Summit West will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 6-3 league win over Joplin (Joplin, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 18-13.

With the loss, Carthage moves to 23-11 on the season.
