The Redhawks (13-22) will now prepare for their challenge against Coldwater (Coldwater, MI). The Cardinals enter the Inner State challenge with a 23-8 record. In their last challenge, Coldwater beat Bangor (Bangor, MI), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Indians meet the Western Panthers (Parma, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 17. Athens will attempt to upgrade on its 10-27 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 22-10 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Williamston (Williamston, MI).
