Virginia High School Volleyball - Bland County overwhelmed by Giles

The Giles Spartans topped the visiting Bland County Bears volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Thursday's league game.

Next up, the Spartans confront the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) in a Mountain Empire game, on Monday, October 21. Giles will attempt to advance on its 15-3 season record. The Blue Devils go into the game with a 14-4 record after their 3-1 league win over George Wythe (Wytheville, VA).

The Bears (8-9) will now prepare for their game against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Pioneers go into the Mountain Empire game with a 7-11 record. In their last challenge, Fort Chiswell was beaten by Giles (Pearisburg, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.
