Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Pendleton County Wildcats (Falmouth, KY) and the host Dayton Greendevils (Dayton, KY), observed Pendleton County's volleyball team hold off Dayton by a count of 2-1.

The Wildcats (17-4) will now prepare for their contest against Nicholas County (Carlisle, KY). The Bluejackets enter the District 38 contest with a 15-12 record. In their last contest, Nicholas County got by St. Patrick (Maysville, KY), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Greendevils battle the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds (Newport, KY) in a District 36 contest, on Monday, October 21. Dayton will attempt to move on its 10-17 season record. The Thoroughbreds enter the contest with a 14-20 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Boone County (Florence, KY).
