In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting North Butler Bearcats volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the West Hancock Eagles.

The Bearcats (9-19) will now prepare for their challenge against Northwood-Kensett (Northwood, IA). The Vikings come into the challenge with a 0-19 record. In their last challenge, Northwood-Kensett was nudged by North Iowa (Buffalo Center, IA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Keokuk Chiefs (Keokuk, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 17. West Hancock will attempt to upgrade on its 1-26 season record. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a 3-19 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA).
