The Denby Tars football squad scored 20 points and limited the visiting Pershing Doughboys to 6 in the Tars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tars now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host University Prep Science & Math for a non-league test on Thursday, October 23. Denby will face a Cobra team coming off a 50-44 non-league loss to Eastern (Lansing, MI). The Cobra record now stands at 2-6.

The Doughboys (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastpointe (Eastpointe, MI). The Shamrocks go into the non-league challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Eastpointe lost by Clawson (Clawson, MI), 51-0, in a non-league challenge.
