Texas High School Football - Holy Cross thwarted by First Baptist

October 17, 2025: San Antonio, TX 78228

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting First Baptist Saints football squad scored a good 34-7 triumph over the Holy Cross Knights.

The Saints (6-2) will now prepare for their match against Bishop Reicher Catholic (Waco, TX). The Cougars come into the TAPPS Division IV District 1 match with a 0-6 record. In their last match, Bishop Reicher Catholic was beaten by Sacred Heart (Muenster, TX), 42-6, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Knights confront the John Paul II Guardians (New Braunfels, TX) in a TAPPS Division III District 3 match, on Friday, October 24. Holy Cross will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Guardians go into the battle with a 2-5 record after their 46-3 league win over John Paul II (Corpus Christi, TX).
