The L'Anse Purple Hornets got by the host Gwinn Modeltowners football team by a score of 1-0 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Purple Hornets face the Calumet Copper Kings (Calumet, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 24. L'Anse will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Copper Kings go into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 46-3 league win over Gladstone (Gladstone, MI).
