In Friday's league challenge, the host Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Jasper Bulldogs.

The Bears (35-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Lumberton (Lumberton, TX). The Raiders enter the 4A Region III District 18 challenge with a 34-6 record. In their last challenge, Lumberton beat Vidor (Vidor, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Bridge City Cardinals (Bridge City, TX) in a 4A Region III District 18 test, on Tuesday, October 21. Jasper will attempt to improve on its 5-16 season record. The Cardinals go into the test with a 30-11 record after their 3-0 league win over Silsbee (Silsbee, TX).
