Nuiqsut Trapper Trappers (Nuiqsut, AK) backers were in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball team hold off the host Kali Wolverines (Point Lay, AK), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Trappers (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Kali (Point Lay, AK). The Wolverines enter the Mix 6 North Slope test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Kali was edged by Nunamiut (Anaktuvik Pass, AK), 2-0, in a league test.

The Wolverines now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nuiqsut Trapper for a Mix 6 North Slope test on Friday, October 17. Kali will meet a Trappers team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Meade River (Atqasuk, AK). The Trappers record now stands at 1-3.
