The Valley Central Vikings volleyball team (Montgomery, NY), was dropped 3-1 in Monday's league challenge with the visiting Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders (Central Valley, NY)

The Crusaders (12-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY). The Goldbacks enter the Section 9 Orange County I challenge with a 0-7 record. In their last challenge, Newburgh Free Academy was dropped by Minisink Valley (Slate Hill, NY), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Vikings encounter the Middletown Middie Bears (Middletown, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County I challenge, on Wednesday, October 20. Valley Central will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record.
