The Cumberland Clippers soccer team scored 5 points and limited the visiting Smithfield Sentinels to 2 in the Clippers league victory on Tuesday.

Next, the Clippers face the Barrington Eagles (Barrington, RI) in a State Championship Division - B contest, on Friday, October 21. Cumberland will attempt to better on its 10-3 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 1-9 record after their 3-1 league loss to Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI).

The Sentinels now have a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they host North Kingstown for a State Championship Division - B contest on Thursday, October 20. Smithfield will face a Skippers team coming off a 6-3 league win over Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI). The Skippers record now stands at 13-2.
