Texas High School Volleyball - Mount Vernon over Chapel Hill

The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Mount Vernon Tigers (Mount Vernon, TX) and the host Chapel Hill Red Devils (Mount Pleasant, TX), saw Mount Vernon's volleyball squad beat Chapel Hill by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Mount Vernon upgrades its record to 24-3 on the year. The Tigers host Quitman (Quitman, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Region II District 13 bout on Friday, October 21. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-28. Quitman lost 3-1 in their recent league bout against Harmony (Big Sandy, TX)

The Red Devils now own a 7-23 record. They play next when they travel to Winona for a 3A Region II District 13 bout on Friday, October 21. Chapel Hill will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Mineola (Mineola, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-23.
