The Bulldogs (15-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Latexo (Latexo, TX). The Tigers enter the 2A Region III District 23 challenge with a 13-9 record. In their last challenge, Latexo nipped Colmesneil (Colmesneil, TX), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the Groveton Indians (Groveton, TX) in a 2A Region III District 23 challenge, on Friday, October 21. Lovelady will attempt to move on its 10-13 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 10-25 record after their 3-0 league win over Grapeland (Grapeland, TX).
