The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 28-12. Goliad won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Odem (Odem, TX)

The Pirates now own a 11-21 record. They play next when they host Aransas Pass for a 3A Region IV District 29 bout on Friday, October 21. Mathis will play a Panthers squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Taft (Taft, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 17-15.
