In Tuesday's league battle, the host Nottoway Cougars volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Prince Edward County Eagles.

The Cougars (15-2) will now prepare for their battle against Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA). The Statesmen come into the James River battle with a 3-12 record. In their last battle, Randolph-Henry lost by Cumberland (Cumberland, VA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA) in a James River battle, on Monday, October 24. Prince Edward County will attempt to advance on its 4-5 season record. The Chargers come into the battle with a 8-3 record after their 3-0 league loss to Buckingham (Buckingham, VA).
