In Wednesday's league battle, the host Northwestern Regional Highlanders soccer squad scored a close 7-0 triumph over the Shepaug Valley Spartans.
The Highlanders (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Gilbert (Winsted, CT). The Yellowjackets come into the Berkshire battle with a 1-11 record. In their last battle, Gilbert was overwhelmed by Litchfield (Litchfield, CT), 3-1, in a league battle.
The Spartans (0-13) will now prepare for their battle against Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT). The Chiefs come into the Berkshire battle with a 9-3 record. In their last battle, Nonnewaug was overwhelmed by Thomaston (Thomaston, CT), 1-0, in a league battle.
