In Wednesday's league battle, the visiting Starmount Rams soccer squad scored a close 2-0 triumph over the Alleghany Trojans.

The Rams (10-7) will now prepare for their battle against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Cardinals come into the Northwest 1A battle with a 9-11 record. In their last battle, East Wilkes nudged North Stokes (Danbury, NC), 6-0, in a league battle.
