Next, the Warhorses face the Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A challenge, on Monday, October 23. Owen will attempt to better on its 14-1 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 2-1 league loss to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC).

The Vikings now have a 11-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mitchell for a Western Highlands 1A/2A challenge on Monday, October 23. Avery County will face a Mountaineers team coming off a 7-0 league loss to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 0-12.
