The Lumpkin County Indians edged the host Jefferson Dragons softball squad by a count of 8-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Indians meet the Jefferson Dragons (Jefferson, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 19. Lumpkin County will attempt to upgrade on its 21-11 season record. The Dragons enter the challenge with a 18-11 record after their 12-3 non-league loss to Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA).
The Dragons (19-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA). The Indians enter the non-league challenge with a 20-10 record. In their last challenge, Lumpkin County edged Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, GA), 17-2, in a league challenge.
