The Maxwell Bears prevailed the host Cimarron Rams volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Friday's league game.

Next up, the Bears confront the Roy/Mosquero Blue/Lady Blue (Roy, NM) in a 1A District 5 game, on Saturday, October 19. Maxwell will attempt to advance on its 11-5 season record. The Blue/Lady Blue enter the game with a 14-3 record after their 3-1 league win over Springer (Springer, NM).

The Rams (8-9) will now prepare for their game against Reserve (Reserve, NM). The Mountaineers enter the non-league game with a 12-3 record. In their last game, Reserve gained a win over Hondo Valley (Hondo, NM), 3-0, in a non-league game.
