The Ashland Blue Jays football team scored 54 points and restricted the host Otis-Bison Cougars to 52 in the Blue Jays non-league win on Saturday.
In their next game, the Blue Jays face the Satanta Indians (Satanta, KS) in a Southern Plains-Iroquois (8 Man) challenge, on Friday, October 24. Ashland will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Indians go into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 52-0 league loss to Kiowa County (Greensburg, KS).
The Cougars (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Southern Coffey County (Leroy, KS). The Titans go into the non-league challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, Southern Coffey County was edged by Marais des Cygnes Valley (Melvern, KS), 60-13, in a non-league challenge.
