The Stanfield/Echo Tigers (Stanfield, OR) soccer overwhelmed the host Grant Union Prospectors (John Day, OR), 8-0 in Saturday's league challenge.
The Tigers now hold a 9-1 record. They play next when they host Riverside for a 3A/2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 challenge on Tuesday, October 21. Stanfield/Echo will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 2-0 league win over McLoughlin (Milton-Freewater, OR). The Pirates record now stands at 7-0.
With the loss, Grant Union moves to 2-9 on the year. The Prospectors travel to Irrigon (Irrigon, OR) to face the Knights in a 3A/2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 contest on Thursday, October 23. The Knights enter the contest with a record of 3-8. Irrigon lost 2-0 in their recent league contest against Four Rivers (Ontario, OR)
