In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Western Panthers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Forest Hills Eastern Hawks.
The Panthers (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Harper Creek (Battle Creek, MI). The Beavers come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.
Next, the Hawks meet the JV Opponent (, ) in a non-league test, on Saturday, October 18. Forest Hills Eastern will attempt to advance on its 21-17 season record.
