The Georgetown Royals (Georgetown, MA) soccer edged the host Triton Regional Vikings (Byfield, MA), 3-2 in Saturday's league contest.
Next, the Royals battle the Newburyport Clippers (Newburyport, MA) in a Cape Ann contest, on Tuesday, October 21. Georgetown will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Clippers enter the contest with a 9-5 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Masconomet Regional (Boxford, MA).
The Vikings (0-16) will now prepare for their contest against Manchester Essex (Manchester, MA). The Hornets enter the Cape Ann contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Manchester Essex was nipped by Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School (Hathorne, MA), 2-1, in a league contest.
