The Biggsville West Central Heat topped the visiting Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes volleyball squad by a margin of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Heat now possess a 12-13 record. They play next when they host Monmouth United for a Lincoln Trail outing on Monday, October 20. Biggsville West Central will play a Red Storm team coming off a 2-0 league win over Galva (Galva, IL). The Red Storm record now stands at 15-18.

With the loss, Abingdon/Avon drops to 2-27 on the campaign. The Tornadoes travel to Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL) to confront the Spartans in a Lincoln Trail game on Monday, October 20. The Spartans go into the game with a record of 2-26. Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] lost 2-0 in their recent league game against Stark County (Toulon, IL)
