Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Dowagiac Chieftains (Dowagiac, MI) and the visiting Bridgman Bees (Bridgman, MI), observed Dowagiac's volleyball team top Bridgman by a count of 2-0.

The Chieftains (18-23) will now prepare for their contest against Decatur (Decatur, MI). The Raiders go into the non-league battle with a 12-11 record. In their last battle, Decatur dropped by Centreville (Centreville, MI), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

The Bees now own a 11-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Joseph for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 18. Bridgman will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Buchanan (Buchanan, MI). The Bears record now stands at 9-12.
