Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Duncan Wildkats (Duncan, AZ) and the host Valley Union Blue Devils (Elfrida, AZ), observed Duncan's volleyball team hold off Valley Union by a count of 1-0.

The Wildkats (9-14) will now prepare for their battle against Animas (Animas, NM). The Panthers go into the non-league battle with a 4-10 record. In their last battle, Animas was edged by Magdalena (Magdalena, NM), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Blue Devils now own a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to San Simon for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 18. Valley Union will encounter a Longhorns squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Duncan (Duncan, AZ). The Longhorns record now stands at 11-10.
