Illinois High School Volleyball - Mt. Carmel can't hold off Richland County

The Richland County Tigers tipped the host Mt. Carmel Golden Aces volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Tigers now possess a 8-18 record. They play next when they travel to Charleston for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 18. Richland County will clash with a Trojans team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 4-21.

With the loss, Mt. Carmel drops to 12-15 on the campaign. The Golden aces travel to Norris City-Omaha-Enfield (Norris City, IL) to confront the Fighting Cardinals in a non-league match on Saturday, October 18. The Fighting Cardinals enter the match with a record of 27-1. Norris City-Omaha-Enfield won 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Mt. Carmel (Mt. Carmel, IL)
