In Saturday's league challenge, the host St. Ignace Saints volleyball team scored a close 2-1 win over the Sault Area Blue Devils.

With the win, St. Ignace improves its record to 23-7 on the season. The Saints host Alpena (Alpena, MI) to face the Wildcats in a non-league test on Saturday, October 18. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 6-12. Alpena lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Traverse City West (Traverse City, MI)

The Blue Devils now own a 10-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Traverse City Central for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 21. Sault Area will face a Trojans squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Cadillac (Cadillac, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 26-7.
