Texas High School Volleyball - Mexia edged by La Vega

The La Vega Pirates held off the visiting Mexia Black Cats volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league test.
The Pirates now have a 5-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Connally for a 4A Region III District 18 test on Friday, October 22. La Vega will confront a Cadets team coming off a 3-0 league loss to China Spring (China Spring, TX). The Cadets record now stands at 2-18.
The Black Cats (10-16) will now prepare for their test against Robinson (Robinson, TX). The Rockets enter the 4A Region III District 18 test with a 19-17 record. In their last test, Robinson was nudged by Madisonville (Madisonville, TX), 3-2, in a league test.
