In Wednesday's league battle, the host Patton Panthers soccer squad scored a close 5-4 triumph over the Brevard Blue Devils.
The Panthers (15-3) will now prepare for their battle against Chase (Forest City, NC). The Trojans come into the Mountain Foothills Seven 2A battle with a 5-10 record. In their last battle, Chase was nudged by Polk County (Columbus, NC), 2-1, in a league battle.
The Blue Devils (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC). The Bearcats come into the Mountain Foothills Seven 2A battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, Hendersonville nudged East Rutherford (Forest City, NC), 7-1, in a league battle.
