With the win, Mount Airy advances its record to 18-0 on the campaign. The Granite Bears host Elkin (Elkin, NC) to play the Buckin' Elks in a Northwest 1A outing on Monday, October 24. The Buckin' Elks go into the outing with a record of 12-7. Elkin won 7-3 in their recent league outing against Alleghany (Sparta, NC)

In their next game, the Greyhounds play the West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, October 20. North Surry will attempt to advance on its 5-13 season record. The Wildcats go into the outing with a 6-11 record after their 4-1 league loss to Walkertown (Walkertown, NC).
