Centennial Hawks (Las Cruces, NM) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM), 4-3 in a league challenge.
Next, the Hawks face the Organ Mountain Knights (Las Cruces, NM) in a 5A District 3 challenge, on Monday, October 23. Centennial will attempt to better on its 9-9 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 3-1 league loss to Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM).
The Panthers now have a 5-13 record. They take the field next when they host Mayfield for a 5A District 3 challenge on Monday, October 23. Gadsden will face a Trojans team coming off a 6-1 league win over Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM). The Trojans record now stands at 13-4.
