New Mexico High School Soccer - Sandia held off by La Cueva

The crowd at Thursday's league test between the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM), saw La Cueva's soccer squad get by Sandia by a margin of 2-1.
The Bears now sport a 15-2 record. They play next when they travel to Farmington for a 5A District 2 test on Tuesday, October 24. La Cueva will meet a Scorpions squad coming off a 5-0 league loss to Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM). The Scorpions record now stands at 5-12.
With the loss, Sandia drops to 11-6 on the season. The Matadors travel to Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM) to meet the Panthers in a 5A District 2 test on Tuesday, October 24. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 8-10. Piedra Vista won 5-0 in their recent league test against West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM)
