The Staunton Bulldogs volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Gillespie Miners to 0 in the Bulldogs league victory on Thursday.

The Bulldogs now have a 22-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carterville for a non-league game on Saturday, October 21. Staunton will meet a Lions team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Nashville (Nashville, IL). The Lions record now stands at 15-14.

The Miners (10-18) will now prepare for their game against East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL). The Oilers enter the non-league game with a 16-19 record. In their last game, East Alton-Wood River dropped by Breese Central (Breese, IL), 2-0, in a league game.
