In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Ames Little Cyclones volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Roosevelt Roughriders.

The Little Cyclones (19-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA). The Bobcats enter the Southeast challenge with a 13-18 record. In their last challenge, Marshalltown was beaten by Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, IA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Roughriders meet the Ottumwa Bulldogs (Ottumwa, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 24. Roosevelt will attempt to upgrade on its 13-15 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 30-6 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Ames (Ames, IA).
