The Mendota Trojans (Mendota, IL) volleyball held off the host Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Trojans now possess a 7-20 record. They play next when they travel to Kewanee for a Three Rivers bout on Tuesday, October 22. Mendota will clash with a Boilermakers team coming off a 2-0 league win over Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL). The Boilermakers record now stands at 13-15.

With the loss, Putnam County drops to 11-17 on the campaign. The Panthers host Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL) to clash with the Mallards in a Tri-County bout on Monday, October 21. The Mallards come into the bout with a record of 25-7. Henry-Senachwine won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Seneca (Seneca, IL)
