In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host St. Joseph Bears volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Watervliet Panthers.

The Bears (14-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Berrien Springs (Berrien Springs, MI). The Shamrocks come into the non-league challenge with a 12-15 record. In their last challenge, Berrien Springs beat Brandywine (Niles, MI), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Bridgman Bees (Bridgman, MI) in a Southwestern - Valley challenge, on Saturday, October 19. Watervliet will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record. The Bees come into the challenge with a 14-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to South Haven (South Haven, MI).
