The Roane County Yellowjackets (Kingston, TN) football nudged the host Loudon Redskins (Loudon, TN), 17-14 in Monday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Austin-East Roadrunners (Knoxville, TN) in a 3A Region 2 bout, on Friday, October 6. Roane County will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Roadrunners enter the bout with a 1-6 record after their 47-40 non-league loss to Grace Christian Academy (Knoxville, TN).
The Redskins (5-3) will now prepare for their bout against Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TN). The Wildcats enter the non-league bout with a 2-5 record. In their last bout, Sweetwater was nudged by Chattanooga Central (Harrison, TN), 34-23, in a league bout.
