South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 7-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Sauras face the Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) in a Northwest 1A challenge, on Wednesday, October 4. South Stokes will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Granite Bears enter the challenge with a 11-0 record after their 6-0 league win over Alleghany (Sparta, NC).

The Trojans now have a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Davidson for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 5. Alleghany will face a Dragons team coming off a 5-0 league loss to Salisbury (Salisbury, NC). The Dragons record now stands at 4-8.
