In Monday's league battle, the host Cherokee Braves soccer squad scored a close 1-0 win over the Tri-County Jaguars.
The Braves (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Highlands (Highlands, NC). The Highlanders go into the Smoky Mountain 1A battle with a 9-4 record. In their last battle, Highlands nipped Hayesville (Hayesville, NC), 2-0, in a league battle.
The Jaguars (0-7) will now prepare for their battle against Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Wildcats go into the Smoky Mountain 1A battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Andrews was nudged by Highlands (Highlands, NC), 7-1, in a league battle.
