Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV), 10-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Tigers confront the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) in a Coalfield AA challenge, on Tuesday, October 3. Shady Spring will attempt to better on its 11-3 season record. The Grizzlies enter the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Midland Trail (Hico, WV).
The Miners now have a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln County for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 5. Mingo Central will confront a Panthers team coming off a 1-1 non-league Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 4-7.
