Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Clinch County Panthers (Homerville, GA) and the host Brooks County Trojans (Quitman, GA), witnessed Clinch County's softball squad tip Brooks County by a count of 19-15.

The Panthers now have a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valdosta for a non-league game on Tuesday, October 3. Clinch County will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 12-3 league loss to Camden County (Kingsland, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-17.

In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Bacon County Raiders (Alma, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 1 game, on Tuesday, October 3. Brooks County will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record. The Raiders come into the game with a 16-3 record after their 4-2 league win over Irwin County (Ocilla, GA).
