The Council Cobras volleyball team (Council, VA), went down 3-1 in Monday's non-league challenge with the host Holston Cavaliers (Damascus, VA)

The Cavaliers (3-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA). The Indians enter the Hogoheegee challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Rural Retreat went down by Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cobras encounter the Hurley Rebels (Hurley, VA) in a Black Diamond challenge, on Thursday, October 5. Council will attempt to move on its 1-11 season record. The Rebels enter the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Richlands (Richlands, VA).
