North Carolina High School Volleyball - Draughn over Mitchell

October 2, 2023: Bakersville, NC 28705

Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Monday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC), 3-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Wildcats battle the Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A match, on Thursday, October 5. Draughn will attempt to advance on its 14-4 season record. The Patriots come into the match with a 8-8 record after their 3-0 league loss to Rosman (Rosman, NC).

With the loss, Mitchell drops to 2-15 on the campaign. The Mountaineers travel to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC) to battle the Cougars in a Western Highlands 1A/2A match on Tuesday, October 10. The Cougars come into the match with a record of 9-8.
