The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) and the host Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA), saw Grayson County's volleyball squad beat Floyd County by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Grayson County upgrades its record to 9-7 on the year. The Blue Devils host Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to play the Pioneers in a Mountain Empire bout on Tuesday, October 3. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 4-9. Fort Chiswell lost 3-1 in their recent league bout against George Wythe (Wytheville, VA)

The Buffaloes now own a 1-13 record. They play next when they host Patrick County for a Three Rivers bout on Thursday, October 5. Floyd County will play a Cougars squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Radford (Radford, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 5-10.
