The Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) volleyball overcame the host Heritage Pioneers (Lynchburg, VA), 3-0 in Monday's non-league outing.

With the win, Nelson County upgrades its record to 4-9 on the year. The Governors travel to Chatham (Chatham, VA) to face the Cavaliers in a Dogwood outing on Thursday, October 5. The Cavaliers go into the outing with a record of 2-11. Chatham lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Altavista (Altavista, VA)

The Pioneers now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Liberty Christian for a Seminole outing on Tuesday, October 3. Heritage will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-3.
